If you would like to keep your tattoo looking fresh and beautiful then you need to make sure you take the first weeks of aftercare seriously. Once the tattoo is healed, please protect it from the sun. If you cannot cover it, then apply sunscreen.

AFTERCARE GUIDE

A tattoo takes on average 2-4 weeks to heal. Everyone heals differently, so your healing time may vary. Please follow the following guide for at least 2 weeks.

DO
Please leave the plastic on for a minimum of 1 hour, but no longer than 4 hours. It is not necessarry to clean the tattoo right after removing the plastic.Clean the tattoo with gentle (preferably) unscented soap . Clean the tattoo twice a day.Use a thin layer of moisturizer on the wound, I recommend Bepanthen cream. Do not use Vaseline or anything heavily scented.Wear sun-protective clothing during the healing period.
DO NOT
Do not use disinfectants such as alcohol on the tattoo, as this dries the skin.Do not apply a thick layer of moisturizer on the tattoo, this can trap bacteria and lead to infections. After a couple of days your tattoo will scab over and become itchy, this is part of the healing process. Do not scratch your tattoo or pick/peel the scabs, this can lead to scarring and infections.Do not wear tight clothing or clothes with abrasive/fluffy fabrics for at least 5 days. This can irritate the tattoo.Do not go swimming, soak in a tub, or go to a sauna for at least 2 weeks. It is not recommended to go to the gym for the first 5 days.Do not use sunscreen until the tattoo is fully healed.
